ITINERARY
Day 1: Pick-up at the Baltra Airport and transfer via free buses to the pier at Itabaca Canal; then you will take the public ferry across to Santa Cruz Island, where our trans- portation will be waiting for you to transfer you to Puerto Ayora, where the hotels are located on this island. Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel.We start with a morning (8:00 a.m.) excursion to Tortuga Bay Beach, which we will reach after a 40-minute hike, approximately. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos Islands, with white sand and green mangroves.At Playa Mansa, we'll be able to go for a swim and enjoy the morning on the beach. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon (2:00 p.m.), we'll take a yacht tour in the bay to see "La Loberia," named for the sea lions that populate the area.
We'll have the chance to go snorkeling here. Then we will move along to the Canal del Amor and admire the natural beauty of the place. Metres away from the end of this canal, we will find a lookout point where you can spot whitetip sharks; after a short hike, you'll also see marine iguanas at a beach called La Playa de los Perros.We will also visit Punta Estrada. Return to the pier. Go to accommodations.
This day of the tour only operates on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
*Note: the vessel used for this excursion is a 16-passenger motorboat.
